Your diving vacation in Carinthia
One of the most beautiful diving areas in the Alps starts right outside our hotel door: Lake Weissensee. The purest bathing lake in the region impresses with visibility of up to 20 meters, steep rock faces, submerged forests and intact flora and fauna at a total of 20 diving spots. Encounters with pike, carp, perch and grass carp are not uncommon here.
Lake Weissensee is not only beautiful – it can also be dived all year round. In winter, the lake transforms into one of the most popular spots for ice diving in Europe. Particularly popular: the legendary ice diving weekends.
The “Tauchsport Yachtdiver” diving school is just a two-minute walk from the hotel. Here you can hire equipment and courses for beginners and advanced divers, shuttle service to the spots, catamaran or Zodiac trips and individual tours by electric boat.
The team led by Ernest Turnschek (a professional diver for 25 years) also offers training to PADI, SSI, CMAS, ProTec and RSTC standards. Ice diving courses and even training to become an ice diving instructor are also possible.
