Lake Weissensee - a paradise for hikers

In the middle of the 76 km² Weissensee Nature Park, over 200 km of marked hiking trails are waiting to be discovered by you. From the gentle shores of the lake, you can hike up to panoramic Alpine pastures, through shady forests and on to the peaks with views of the Lienz Dolomites.

Those who prefer to walk in company can join the guided tours with nature park rangers or be led to special places of power by local hiking guides.

Winter hiking & snowshoeing

Lake Weissensee is a paradise for people on the move, especially when the snow is softly falling. Along the lake promenade or on snowshoe tours to the Naggler Alm, you will find winter tranquillity and impressive views. Snowshoeing is also ideal for beginners. Snowshoes can be rented in the village and guided tours are offered by the Weissensee ski school.
